The original questions:

When do your decorations go up?

I usually start decorating in late November! I love making my surroundings all festive and nice, it helps me stay happy and motivated when it’s getting so dark and dreary outside. Fairy lights are an absolute must-have! ✨ We don’t put up the Christmas tree until December 22nd though, it’s a tradition to do it on my dad’s birthday.

Who is the Scrooge in your family or friendship group?

Oh I can certainly think of a few, but I won’t name them just in case. It’s sad whenever they just bring someone down for wanting to make others happy.

If money were no object, how and where would you spend Christmas?

I would spend it with a special girl, in our little cottagecore dream home, that would be nice!

What Christmas film do you HAVE to watch every festive season?

I have to watch literally as many versions of “A Christmas Carol” as possible. So far this year I’ve watched an actual play, and the version with Jim Carrey. Maybe the Muppets Christmas Carol is next.

Who do you find hardest to buy presents for?

Myself, surprisingly. I never really know what I want, and I can’t ever justify buying myself anything.

Would you rather buy lots of little presents for a hamper or buy one big/main present?

I love love LOVE buying small little presents! This year I put together a little 12 days of Christmas thing for my friend, and she did the same for me. It was great and I loved every little thing she put into it.

What did you leave out for Santa when you were a child?

I left out little cookies, but my cats kept trying to eat them so I stopped doing it just so they wouldn’t get all sick.

Where did you spend last Christmas?

I spent last Christmas all alone in my accommodation in York while everyone else were home for Christmas. It was quite sad and lonely, but I made the most of it I guess! Tried my best to make it feel like Christmas.

Which Christmas song makes you cringe?

I’m not sure, but I’m never too keen on anything sung by Michael BublΓ© for some reason.

If you could be a character in a holiday movie, who would you be and why?

Oh, good question! Some people count the two first Harry Potter movies as Christmas movies.. I guess I would love to be someone in that universe.

Caroline’s questions:

What is your favourite Christmas scent?

Cinnamon, for sure! And oranges.. It’s not Christmas without either of them.

What is your favourite Christmas decoration that you own? (attatch a pic x)

My favorite decoration is honestly my Christmas stocking. It’s just a cute red and white one with a reindeer on it. I love fairy lights too, but those are hung up in my accommodation and not in my parents house where I’m staying for Christmas this year. I sadly don’t have a picture to put in right now, but it’s real cute, I promise!
